![]() 3D Junior Developmental Cycling Program What is the 3D Junior Developmental Cycling Program? It is a program aimed at juniors is aimed at ages 13 and above who have some experience riding a bike and who want to race. The objective is to promote cycling as a sport in a safe, fun and non-threatening environment. The program focuses on the development of a wide range of fundamental skills and provides the opportunity for kids to participate in organized cycling events. This is a continuously running program that will provide a pathway though relevant instruction and support for athletes that display the potential to progress to the elite junior level. What does the program provide? Participants are instructed in the basics of road cycling and racing by at least two USCF certified coaches and other experienced competitive bicycle racers. Junior specific training rides are held year-round on Tuesday’s afternoon and Saturday mornings, supplemented by indoor sessions during the winter months. Juniors will by guided through structured programs that are designed to improve riders’ confidence and bike handling skills while promoting fitness and a healthy lifestyle Do I need racing experience to participate? No racing experience is necessary. You only need the ability to ride a bike and the desire to learn and experience the sport of cycling. How much does the Program cost? The best part about the 3D Junior Developmental Cycling Program is that it’s free. Where does the program meet? The Junior Developmental Cycling Program is run out of Tom’s Atlantic Cyclery in Atlantic Highlands, NJ.
